LCR-T3 Case - Remix
pinshape
I came across this design posted at https://www.thingiverse.com/th... - but I'm convinced that it's actually the same one posted at https://www.thingiverse.com/th... two years ago. Regardless, I discovered several issues. One, the lip around the bottom was too weak - it detached easily from the rest of the case with minimal force. To address this, the lip was thickened and the angle of the overhang was increased to provide additional support. Secondly, the battery "clip" showed the same weakness. This was also thickened for added support. Thirdly, the top right-hand screw hole was enlarged and attached to the case just like the other two to add extra support. Finally, with the battery endstop in its current position, the battery couldn't drop down into the holder when using a thick, hard plastic connector - as opposed to the thin connector used on most 9v battery equipment made by some testers. To fix this, I moved it 4mm. This provides a snug fit without having to break that tab. For those who don't have any problems with the original case, there's no reason to make the switch. However, for those who've had issues with it, this design might be just what they need. Print Settings: Supports are not required, Resolution is set at 0.2mm, and Infill is at 100%.
