LCD Mount 2020 and 3030
thingiverse
I needed a way to secure my LCD screen for my new printer, the Vulcan XL. My frame is constructed from 3030 aluminum, while my friend's printer uses 2020 aluminum, so I created an adapter for him as well. To adjust the angle, loosen the central screw and make any necessary adjustments. I'm using M3 bolts, but M4 might be a better fit. To complete the main hinge, you'll need a bolt and a nut, along with T-slot nuts suitable for extruded aluminum. Keep in mind that I printed this adapter at 20% infill due to my use of MakerGeeks Raptor PLA, which is incredibly strong. If you're using a different material, you may want to adjust the infill setting accordingly. *Update: February 28, 2018* After accidentally bumping my screen and breaking the original adapter, I decided not to rely on the central bolt for support. As a result, I created a revised version without that hole and reinforced the perpendicular connection to make it more robust. The updated design is available as an STL file called lcd-mount-body-stiffer.stl.
