LCD Mask/Light Metering Tool for 5.5" Resin Printers (Anycubic Photon, EPAX X1, Elegoo Mars, etc).
thingiverse
Some LCD-based resin printers exhibit uneven light distribution across the screen due to placement of the LED light source underneath and manufacturer's design of the LED array. Certain firmwares for these printers feature a function that lets you define a mask, slightly dimming brighter areas of the screen to achieve more uniform illumination and potentially enable consistent dimensional accuracy across the build plate. This device consists of a grid that replaces the vat, dividing the screen into 66 sectors, each 10mm by 10mm. A holder for a light-dependent resistor is also included, fitting into each grid position. This allows you to create an accurate map of your screen illumination, which can be converted into a mask using software tools under development at photonsters.org. Additionally, two .photon files are provided, illuminating the entire screen for 10 x 30-second intervals. One file features all-white illumination with the LCD off, while the other is all-black with the LCD fully on, giving you ample time to take measurements.
