https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHKys4IbWRw\nRead the full guide on: https://learn.adafruit.com/3d-printed-electronic-sunglasses/overview\nThis week, we're taking on a project that's truly cool - building electronic sunglasses that can control their dark tint from within.\nBetween two sheets of glass, a special layer of liquid crystal material is carefully sandwiched, waiting to be activated by a voltage boost.\nThe instant electrodes receive this electric charge, the liquid crystals spring into action, turning dark and filtering out harsh light.\nThe level of voltage applied determines just how dark or opaque the glass becomes, giving you complete control over your surroundings.\nWe're using a Liquid Crystal Light Valve - also known as an LCD Controllable Blackout Panel - which is commonly found in welding helmets to shield eyes from intense sparks.
