LCD Controller Case
thingiverse
This was created to house an LCD controller/logic board, which is used to control a standalone LCD screen. I salvaged the LCD panel from an old laptop and bought the controller board through Amazon. You can easily find them online wherever you are. This enclosure houses only the controller itself, not the actual LCD display. The LCD casing will be added later. I recognized a need and tried to fill it. As of May 10, 2018, this has not been tested. Freshly uploaded. Possible Changes: The hole diameter is currently set at 1mm. Instead of using screws, I opted for an adhesive or filler material to join the top to the bottom. This should print well with a layer height of 0.25-0.35mm. Use at least two nozzle sizes for wall thickness in Cura (two to three layers in S3D), and three times if you're using a 0.4mm nozzle, resulting in a minimum wall thickness of 0.8mm or 1.2mm, recommended. All wall thicknesses are set at 3mm. Supports may be necessary for IO cutouts (HDMI hole, power hole, DVI hole, etc.). Thanks! Feel free to leave feedback; this is my first contribution. As mentioned, there's room for improvement. Change Log Preview: The holes won't print correctly at 1mm with the recommended settings. I'll thicken the walls and add M2/M3 holes for securing the lid to the case soon. Current Change Log: I added a layer change for better horizontal adhesion.
