LCD Case for Prusa i3
thingiverse
LCD Case for Prusa i3 This case sits atop the i3 frame. Thanks go to Thirkell for his 'thing556028', a fantastic case and mount he designed. Likewise, thanks to clefranc for his 'thing85644'. I liked his push button feature. I've had trouble using supports, so I was unable to successfully print Thirkell's case. Therefore, I eliminated the mount and created a new one separate from the rest. (See pictures). I incorporated clefranc's button into the case as well. Additionally, since I couldn't use supports, I added 0.5mm columns in the SD card slot which can be removed with a sharp knife or pliers. The mount is designed for a quarter inch aluminum frame. Use a one-quarter twenty by one inch bolt to secure it. The case has reinforced and enlarged screw holes to hold the LCD in place. (Use four forty x three-eighths inch screws.) Epoxy the Case on top of the mount, keeping it off your desk and minimizing its interference with the spools.
