This thing has a fairly specific use case, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the only person who ever uses it. On the virtual pinball kits that you buy from gameroomsolutions you can order a 15.6" cut on the backbox for the DMD. However, their recommended solution to keep it in place is to stick some double sided tape in there, which is less than ideal. Bad tape quality, tape wearing out, movement, or any number of things could cause the tape to unstick and the LCD to fall backward inside the backbox. So I designed these little brackets or spacers or whatever you want to call them. They're meant to fit into the pre-routed notches at the top and bottom side of the 15.6" panel cut, and screw into the thicker 3/4" MDF next to the notches. Use/print/install these at your own risk of course. V2 has a tiny bit of wiggle room between the LCD and the bracket (1mm) that is meant as a small safety to keep the LCD from cracking the **very thin** piece of wood it rests against. V1 has no such gap. The Bottom bracket has 0.5mm clearance instead of 1mm, because I had a hard time filling in the whole 1mm gap on the top side. The bottom bracket will only use 3 of the 4 screw holes. Which holes get used on the bottom bracket depends on whether it's installed on the left or right side. Different printer tolerances or metal tabs on other LCD panel brands could prove to be a different thickness, which would apply too much pressure and crack the wood. Using either V1 or V2, I'd be extra careful when screwing them into the wood and stop if the metal tab starts push against the wood. Make sure you drill pilot holes for the screws too, or even the thick 3/4" MDF will likely crack. Be careful not to accidentally drill all the way through. I printed two of the V2 and two of the bottom part. I used 1/2 inch #6 wood screws, and some cotton from the end of a Q-tip to remove some slack in the 1mm gap. I had considered just taping the 3d printed bracket to the wood, and that would likely hold better than the double sided tape since there would be a larger surface area, but that might not be as reliable as screws. I would **not** screw the LCD panel tab into the 3d printed bracket. The screw head will likely rise up higher than the 1mm gap would allow, and the thin tab of wood will crack. The metal tabs on the LCD panel should have **no** screws in them. If I were to redesign this, I'd consider making a slot in the bracket to hold the metal LCD tab instead of sandwiching the metal LCD tab against the wood.
