Admit it, we have a BasicStamp board and an Arduino system too; both will be used in upcoming projects. The Makerbot saves breadboard space by accommodating LCDs with a side slot for the edge and a hole for a #6 threaded rod at the bottom. However, this solution requires pins 0 to 5, uses ABS with default settings, and necessitates reaming the side slot and drilling the bottom hole. The display can be top-heavy, so use a suitable length of #6 thread rod. #22 solid wire connects from LCD headers to double male headers on the stamp board, serving as additional support.
