LCD 12864 Holder on Adjustable Stand: A Game-Changer for LCD Displays When installing the LCD 12864 holder on an adjustable stand, be sure not to over tighten the bolts. I've modified the files based on a Front Cover and the Back Plate print, resulting in untested but improved designs that should fit together better. The LCD 12864 Adjustable Stand has passed its first full test fit with flying colors! To ensure smooth movement, print the "lcd_12864_ball_mount.stl" file with cups facing up and supports enabled. For optimal results, consider printing the Ball and Socket parts at a fine layer height of 0.01mm. This will make them move together seamlessly. You'll also find two knob types to choose from: lcd_12864_main_knob_round_shaft.stl (for round shafts) and lcd_12864_main_knob_flat_edged.stl (for shafts with a flat edge). In addition, I've created alternative knobs with less depth on the turning part. These are labeled as "less" in their filenames. Remember that there are many different knob shaft types out there. The Back Cover and Ball joint Mounting have been redesigned for easier assembly from the inside of the Back Cover. Simply fasten the Ball joint Mounting to the Back Cover first, then attach it to the Front Cover. Don't forget to add the Reset Button before inserting the PCB into the Front cover. Two files are provided: inside_bolt_mounting_lcd_12864_ball_mount.stl and inside_bolt_mounting_lcd_12864_back_cover.stl. I've also created a second Reset Button (lcd_12864_reset_button.stl) that's designed to move less, reducing the likelihood of loose sounds when the unit is tipped. Watch the video for more details! A word of caution: at 20% infill, PCB supports can break if the holes aren't pre-drilled. I recommend drilling bolt holes out at 2.5mm and screwing in a bolt to pre-cut the threads in PLA. Once again, be sure not to over tighten the bolts. If you'd like to use the Back Plate without the stand, feel free to use the no_back_holes_lcd_12864_back_cover.stl file.
