LazyMe Z-Probe

This is my second evolution Z-Probe for my Micromake D1 printer. The first probe was merely attached to the hotend for bed calibration and leveling, necessitating mounting and dismounting from the effector every time it was used. I grew tired of that system so I designed this new unit. It easily bolts onto where the original limit switch was and can be swung into action when needed, then swung back to the side when not in use. There is a 20mm offset from the nozzle to the probe, meaning that when adjusted in the firmware, the maximum bed reach (for probing) is approximately 60mm only. Please take note of this. The two parts are held securely by a 20mm M3 screw and nut. A microswitch with dimensions of 6mm x 13mm is required for this unit. *** Update: August 30th, 2016 - I replaced the 'mouse-harvested-switch' with a proper snap microswitch. Additional photos have been added. Print Settings: Printer: Micromake D1 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: Approximately 30%
