This is a high-performance lens assembly for the Hasbro Nerf Lazer Tag tagger known as the LTAR (Lazer Tag Augmented Reality). It has been engineered for 3D printing with minimal support requirements by incorporating a sacrificial bridge layer that can be easily cut away before installation. The intended lenses can be sourced from a retired LTTO Tag Master Blaster (TMB) or purchased separately through SurplusShed or other reputable suppliers. The optimal lens should be a Plano-Convex lens, 33mm in diameter, with a precise focal length of 96mm. FILES: LTAR-TMB-Barrels.stl - This is the lens assembly with integrated sacrificial bridge support. You will only need to provide minimal support to the part at one end, where it points downwards towards the ground. Refer to the photo of the completed print on the printer for visual guidance. No additional supports are necessary. LTAR-TMB-Barrels-NoBridge.stl - This is the lens assembly designed for printing without supports or any specific orientation requirements. Use this file if you prefer to print with custom support settings or orientations. LTAR-TMB-lens-Retainer.stl - This is the small retaining ring that secures the lens in place. Be sure to remove the reload lever and set aside the square nut that holds the battery door in place. Next, remove the lens assembly and cover, setting the original cover aside or discarding it as needed. Open up the original lens assembly to access and remove the existing lenses. Once removed, reassemble the original lens assembly and reinstall it along with the newly printed TMB lens adapter. Reassemble the LTAR tagger and insert your selected retainer rings, ensuring they are securely in place. NOTE: If you print this component in a color other than black, consider painting the interior of the barrel with a suitable coating to minimize splash damage risks.
