This is a range-extended lens assembly for the Hasbro Nerf Lazer Tag tagger known as the LTAR (Lazer Tag Augmented Reality). It has been designed for printing with minimal support by using a sacrificial bridge layer that is cut away prior to installation. The intended lenses can be taken from a dead LTTO Tag Master Blaster (TMB) or purchased separately through SurplusShed or elsewhere. It should be a Plano-Convex lens, 33mm in diameter, with a 96mm focal length. Link provided below. FILES: LTAR-TMB-Barrels.stl - This is the lens assembly with the sacrificial bridge. You should only need to provide support to the part on the "top" of the lenses (one end as oriented) where it points down toward the ground. See photo of completed print on the printer to see what I mean. No other supports are needed. When the print is complete, you'll need to use a sharp blade (X-Acto style) to cut away the circle of bridging that is inside the cone of the barrel. LTAR-TMB-Barrels-NoBridge.stl - This is the lens assembly as designed for use. Use this if you intend to print on something that doesn't need supports, or you want to do your own supports or orientation how you see fit. LTAR-TMB-lens-Retainer.stl - This is the small ring that holds the lens in place. It is a friction fit with little/no tolerance to the inside of the barrel. It should fit snugly and hold firmly without adhesives. This will be harder to remove without tools, if you want to take the lenses out for some reason. LTAR-TMB-lens-RetainerLong.stl - This is the longer ring that holds the lens in place. This gives the barrels a different look. It is a friction fit with little/no tolerance to the inside of the barrel. It should fit snugly and hold firmly without adhesives. This will be easier to remove without tools, if you want to take the lenses out for some reason. Follow this link to purchase lenses. Be sure to choose the one with the 96mm focal length. https://www.surplusshed.com/search\_lenses.php?type=PCX&diameter\_to=33&diameter\_from=33&focal\_length\_to=96&focal\_length\_from=&sort=&sortby=+asc INSTALLATION: Disassemble your LTAR. Don't forget to take apart the reload lever, and don't lose the square nut that holds the battery door on. You'll need to remove the lens assembly and cover. Put the old cover somewhere (or toss it), and open up the original lens assembly in order to remove the original lenses. Once those have been removed, reassemble it and reinstall it along with the newly printed TMB lens adapter. Reassemble the LTAR and drop the TMB lenses into the adapter, flat side toward the tagger. Insert your selected retainer rings and have fun! NOTE: If you print this in pretty much any color than black, you may want to paint the inside of the barrel black with something. If you don't, you may find that there is a higher likelihood of splash damage to people next to you, as IR may escape sideways through the barrel unless blocked by something.
