I'm impressed by the flsun cubic printer's capabilities, but I have to admit that its lack of a layer cooling system is a real shame. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and design my own solution. The result is a printer that can be printed without supports, which is a major win in itself. My first prototype was printed with a 0.2 layer height and it fits perfectly, but it does decrease the printing area by 1-2mm. Still, I think it's worth making the switch to get layer cooling. I also tried to optimize the extruder cooler flow to reduce its interaction with layers when printing ABS. While I didn't quite achieve perfection, the result is still a significant improvement over the default settings - there's still some flow, but nowhere near as much as before. One thing to note is that the printer does need to be rotated for optimal prints. As it stands now, this is my go-to setup and it works really well for me.
