Layer Bonding Calibration Piece
thingiverse
The layer bonding is crucial and many materials can be problematic in this scenario. ABS, Nylon, and a few others tend to cause issues when the temperature is too low or part cooling is excessive. This simple part consists of two thin walls, designed to showcase: * The bonding if you break it (with pliers) or bend and walk on it (test different layer heights) * Stringing problems between the two cylinders * Temperature adjustments as the part's height allows for temperature modifications during printing The small base between the cylinders helps keep it in place on the build plate, with no brim added to my tests. This part is optimized for 0.4mm nozzles; other sizes may require scaling. Have you checked out my other easy material calibration part http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1023717? It has been downloaded over 1,000 times so far! Enjoy printing! Print Settings: * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.1mm - 0.4mm * Infill: No Notes: * Print time: 0h30 for full height How I Designed This: I used 123D Design.
