Lay-Z-spa garden hose adapter
thingiverse
A buddy of mine was in a bind - his lay-z-spa needed to be drained, but he didn't have an alternative pump handy. He asked me to whip up an adapter that would let him use the spa's built-in pump unit to drain the water into a nearby drain via a hose pipe. The adapter attaches directly to the water outlet inside the spa - just remove and unscrew the diffuser first, and you're good to go! I printed this adapter at 0.2mm resolution with supports, but be aware that the screw thread is not supported - only the 90-degree overhangs are. If I recall correctly, I printed it at 20-30% infill, which resulted in a slightly leaky part, but it still worked as intended. However, printing it at 100% infill might yield a more watertight result. Don't forget to grab an O-ring for the top of the hose adapter - you'll need it! When using this adapter, keep the hose length as short as possible to avoid putting too much back pressure on the pump.
