A set of threaded blanking caps for lay-z-spa, crafted to fit snugly into the inlet and outlet ports inside the pool, enables the pump unit to be removed without draining all the water out. Lay-z-spa does supply some push-on ones with the pool, but I'm not a fan of them, so I designed screw-on ones instead. The photo displays the prototype I printed to test their functionality, and the V2 files have been updated with hand grips added for easier removal. They seem to work fine without seals, but I made space on the outlet blank if you want to add one. Print Information: Both parts were printed in ABS. Outlet: A 2% increase was applied across all axes. The layer height was set at 0.2mm. Infill density was set at 20%, although less can be used if desired. Four perimeters were specified, with the option to reduce this for a lighter print. No supports were required. The print speed was set at 50mm/s. Cooling was maintained at 30%. Inlet: A 3% increase was applied across all axes. The layer height remained at 0.2mm. Infill density was again set at 20%. Four perimeters were specified, with the option to reduce this for a lighter print. The print speed was reduced to 30mm/s. Cooling was maintained at 30%.
