Lawnmower_pull_handle_Ergonomic_halved
thingiverse
I split the handle in two, discovering that the round part, regardless of what I did (brim or raft), would fall off the bed before the large handle section had a chance to bond plastic between the handle and neck...split in two, I can now print both halves with the flat portion directly against the bed for maximum adhesion, then simply glue the two halves together (if using ABS, just use some ABS juice and it's done!). This is actually a nice-looking handle...but not very bed-friendly. Updated: 7/28/2018 per request, I added 2 indexing holes and a pin; print 2 pins, glue in holes, glue together, which should help keep it square enough for official purposes. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Anet/Omni A8 from Gearbest Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 - .3 Infill: 20% Notes: I printed mine with 10 shells (4.0mm [I have a .4mm extruder]) which gave it almost 1/4" all the way around of solid plastic on both sides, very strong build without having to print it solid and use a lot of filament. Slicing it in Cura said it would use approx 11.4~m of filament. I pretty much just imported file into tinkercad, mirrored it, then drew a hole box and cut the whole shebang in half (thus halved) but it's exactly Andrewar's design, but will be MUCH more print bed-friendly due to the flat surface on the bed rather than trying to get a rounded bead to stick (which I couldn't).
