I measured and modeled the missing top cap for my lava lamp based on a similar cap from another lamp I own. I printed the new cap in PETG, which has proven to be durable even at high temperatures, but PLA could also work as an alternative material. If you decide to print one with PLA, please let me know in the comments how its durability turns out.
