Lava Lamp
myminifactory
This lamp was directly inspired by Edward Craven Walker's classic Lava Lamp design. By subtly rounding out his original concept, a funky rocket shape began to emerge. Using the Arduino Nano and FastLed library, it is possible to create this vibrant rainbow effect within the lamp itself. The round shape cleverly creates a beam of light in the middle, creating an illusion that the light is also emitted from there. Check out the demo on my website at https://www.project-recorded.com/lava-lamp/. Additional parts required include 4 RGB (WS2812) components, a small prototyping PCB, 4 ceramic capacitors rated 104 0.1uF, an Arduino Nano, some wire, and a hot glue gun - yes, always the hot glue gun!
