<p>Tired of the cheap wooden laundry drying racks, I purchased the <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0924X7ZYJ">Honey Can Do Oversize Collapsible Clothes Drying Rack</a>. &nbsp;I had the apparently common problem with the ends of the rods breaking off from the supports, so this is a replacement:</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:65.3%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/316135/rich_content/6bfc880e-f363-4242-9bfd-31df5282280b/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%227d6583f2-0e8f-4673-a5ea-e8ed93ae9940%22%2C%22w%22%3A1546%2C%22h%22%3A750%7D"></figure><p>About half of them snapped off with pretty light use:</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:62.37%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/316135/rich_content/6bef002b-510a-4c6b-a171-6249fecfdd46/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%226bb5147f-6145-49a5-be5b-e379adb5c488%22%2C%22w%22%3A1099%2C%22h%22%3A889%7D"></figure><p>The part of the caps that are stuck in the rods were easily removed with a drill – I just used a drill bit that was slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the metal rod.</p><p>I used tinkercad to design a simple replacement and tweaked the measurements until they fit:</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/316135/rich_content/632452e0-a52f-478b-8102-4bb2f361f917/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22ac500d9f-b3fe-45bf-a686-cf947db96be5%22%2C%22w%22%3A1022%2C%22h%22%3A572%7D"></figure><p>I printed them in PETG .2mm. It can be a tight fit. I put a bit of super glue on the part that goes into the rod and then tapped them in with a dead blow hammer. They've been sturdy so far.</p><p>If I was going to improve these, I would consider tapering the top, like the originals:</p><p><img class="image_resized" style="width:41.75%;" src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/316135/rich_content/aab92bd2-bec7-492d-a21f-d4a3c4c8a8ce/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%2207eb3ef7-5a1a-45a5-b045-c6325cf0fddb%22%2C%22w%22%3A773%2C%22h%22%3A704%7D"> &nbsp;</p><p>I would also consider making the first few layers of the smaller-diameter cylinder to be solid, to have more contact with the part that fits into the support to safeguard against it snapping off. But I haven't had had any break yet. I also had success with them fitting a slightly smaller diameter (2.7 vs 2.8mm) but the smaller size was a bit loose in some of the rods.&nbsp;</p>
