Replacement center handle for Sterilite 1209 1.5 Bushel HipHold Laundry Basket:
https://amzn.to/2UHUhj1
http://www.sterilite.com/SelectProduct.html?id=815&ProductCategory=52§ion=0

My laundry basket handle broke, so I designed and printed pieces that would clamp onto the remaining solid parts of the frame. I'm not sure if this would fit any other laundry basket or anything else for that matter, but it seems secure and solid enough to share.

Necessary hardware:

4x M3x25 Socket Head Cap Screws (https://amzn.to/2WKKQBm)

4x M3n standard nuts (https://amzn.to/2MPDPKU) or M3n Nylock nuts (https://amzn.to/2HWNtfZ) Or just get a full set of M3 hardware: https://amzn.to/2WJSsnH

Print settings: 0.2mm layer height, 3 perimeters, Honeycomb infill 20-25%.

NOTE 1: THE ENDS OF THE HANDLE GRIP DO REQUIRE SUPPORTS! Either support the entire handle, or just the ends themselves (leaving the center section to bridge). If you want to only support the ends, then follow the pictured steps in Slic3r PE (or follow the video here: https://youtu.be/CSqX\_8pVi2o).

NOTE 2: A 5mm brim is also recommended for the Handle Grip.

Any non-flexible filament should be fine (even PLA) since there's no real significant constant loads or forces on the handle.

A STP File is provided for easier modification to fit your laundry basket, if you're unlucky enough to be looking for a replacement laundry basket handle... Good luck!

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

20% Honeycomb

Filament:
Any Any Any

Notes:

See above for notes.
