Launch Tower

Launch Tower

thingiverse

This is a printed launch tower for model rockets with an optimal length of 1m, although 1.5m would be ideal due to the availability of tubes in 1m or 2m lengths. To accommodate various rocket sizes without designing an adjustable tower, the solution involves printing upper and lower mounts tailored to specific dimensions. This approach makes it easier to adjust parameters using Fusion 360 design files provided on GitHub. The original design featured printed pegs on the bottom mount, which unfortunately broke during the first use due to the printing orientation. As a result, wooden dowels were substituted for the pegs. However, sourcing 10mm dowelling proved challenging locally, leading to the use of 8mm dowel with a printed sleeve to achieve a snug fit with the tubes. ### Ingredients #### Printed Components * 3X legs * Base plate * 3X dowel sleeves * Lower mounting plate * Upper mounting sleeve #### Non-Printed Components * 3X 8mm multi-groove dowels (40mm long) * 3X Carbon fibre tubes 12mm x 10mm x 1m
