Lattice Bre
thingiverse
The Bre Pettis Polhemus scan was transformed into a low-polygon state, followed by outlining the polygon edges with boxes to create a lattice geometry from the original structure. This process employed Modelbuilder Processing library's UGeometry.loadSTL() and UPrimitive.box2points(). However, the output features overlapping meshes that require cleanup using Netfabb or similar software. The low-poly STL used as input can be downloaded as BreTest01 LoLoPoly.stl. Printing at a medium size on a Replicator should work fine; smaller sizes may cause lattice columns to become too thin and break during printing. It's uncertain how this design will print on a Thingomatic, but the walls have fewer gaps, potentially increasing its success rate.
