The fan base keeps your LattePanda from overheating. Testing reveals that my LattePanda stays roughly 10 degrees cooler after installation. Right now, I'm using a 40mm x 40mm x 7mm 5V fan. You might prefer a 40mm x 40mm x 10mm fan. Check Ameridroid or Amazon for the right size. The LattePanda is elevated by 4 plastic standoffs and rests comfortably in its base. This setup could work for other single board computers as well.
