In the monastery, two lavatory complexes can be found. One, situated in the eastern part of the complex, was constructed simultaneously with the establishment of the entire facility. The other, probably built in the 10th century, was added as an annex. Each complex comprises a series of several toilets. For comparison, only two toilets were discovered in the smaller monastery of Apa Dios in Qasr el-Wizz. This suggests that either many people resided in Ghazali or the monks specialized in treating gastrointestinal problems.
