Latice Board Game

Designed by Brent Vincent. Latice is a strategic game where you match tiles based on color and shape. The game comes with a game board, stones, and acrylic tiles featuring six colorful images: turtle, leaf, lizard, dolphin, bird, and fish. A few special wind tiles are also included. Players can join in the fun of Latice, which is suitable for 2-4 players who split the tiles evenly. The winner is the first player to play all their tiles. The first player chooses a tile from their rack and places it in the center square on the board. Next, each player takes turns adding one tile to the board, but that tile must be set adjacent to existing tiles and match based on color or shape. If you match multiple tiles or place your tile on a sun square, you earn stones that can be traded for extra moves. These extra moves let you get rid of your tiles faster. You can also use wind tiles to move a tile already on the board one square. As you play Latice, you'll learn to plan ahead and make strategic decisions about your turns and extra moves. You'll use wind tiles to change the layout of the board and play both offense and defense based on what's left in your hand. Latice has no language or cultural barriers, making it accessible to players of all ages and backgrounds. It offers challenging gameplay for adults while being simple enough for younger players.
