This spindle thread protector fits perfectly on a King Canada 10x22" Lathe (KC1022ML) with a 1 3/4" 8tpi spindle. It should also work flawlessly on the Grizzly G0602 lathe spindle, and possibly other lathes with similar threads, but I don't own one of those models. Every time you remove the chuck without plans to reattach it right away, installing a thread protector is essential, such as when mounting a collet chuck. I printed this protector in PLA at 0.2mm resolution with no supports, brim, or rafts. If your model doesn't stick to the bed, try adding a raft for better adhesion. The finished protector measures about 1"/25mm in length. To ensure accurate prints, make sure your machine is precisely calibrated to print at scale because threads are extremely demanding applications. If you find your protector too tight, try installing and removing it several times to grind away any plastic residue stuck in the threads. Alternatively, scaling up the design by a very small factor, like 0.5-1%, and printing again can also resolve the issue.
