Lathe Electronic Leadscrew

I am developing an electronic leadscrew for my lathe, which is a device that replaces the change gears with an electronic controller and a motor. This project is a repository of the brackets, pulleys, control panel parts and reference models used in the prototypes and final design.See the YouTube video series here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDlWKv7KIIr90ZZ7Zqt-ge5nVVdS3WVggThread cutting demonstration: https://youtu.be/7QaQrqn4yeIParts included in this collection:Control panel face plate, flexible buttons and PCB spacerEncoder magnet mounting bracketServo/Stepper motor front mounting bracketTI LaunchXL-F280049C PCB reference modelClough42 ELS Boost PCB reference modelImport LED&Key PCB reference modelOmron encoder reference model3D printed 3M and GT2 pulleysNoga Popeye magnet reference modelDIN rail mounting clips for TI launchpadThis is a work in progress and will be periodically updated as the project progressesA few notes:The control panel is intended to be CNC-machined from a Bud Industries CU-124 die-cast project box. The modified lid of the box is included as STL and STEP files for reference. It's possible to print it in plastic, but this reduces the shielding effect of the metal box.The buttons are intended to be printed in flexible material and installed trapped between the control panel face plate and the LED&Key PC board. The timing pulley models are suitable for printing, but I don't recommend them for long-term use. Aluminum pulleys are more durable. Some of the parts and tools used in this project and the videos:*This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensatedNinjaFlex Fire TPU Filament, 3mm (Amazon*): https://amzn.to/2zlx28SYG-1 1/8" Alu-Power end mill (eBay*): https://ebay.to/2ANVkXj8-Digit LED display module with buttons (eBay*): https://ebay.to/2RvCCxRBUD Industries CU-124 Project Box (Amazon*): https://amzn.to/2XCtO7OOmron 1024 p/r rotary encoder (eBay*): https://ebay.to/2ROm03JNEMA23 Closed-Loop Servo Motor and Driver (eBay*): https://ebay.to/2XShCQHHakko FX-951 Soldering Station (Amazon*): https://amzn.to/2XB9CD0StickVise PCB Vise (Amazon*): https://amzn.to/2YIvyxqHigh Temperature ESD Safe Mat (Amazon*): https://amzn.to/2Xz0n6DChipQuik SAC305 Solder Paste (Amazon*): https://amzn.to/2XupufsJeweler's Visor Head Magnifier (Amazon*): https://amzn.to/2LHI10JPrint SettingsPrinter:MakerfarmRafts: NoSupports:NoResolution: .2mmInfill:20-40+Filament:eSun/NinjaTek ABS+/NinjaFlex Notes: The buttons should be printed in a flexible material. I used NinjaFlex TPU. ABS or ABS+ are suitable for everything else. Many of the models (like the PCBs) are intended for reference and not suitable for printing. Category: Machine Tools
