** New Update for Z motor mount => http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1925138 *Update. Attached is a drawing of a Nema17 motor mount with basic dimensions. It's an easy lathe project that allows you to CNC mount Nema 17 motors on a Jet BD7 (300mm Mini Lathe). For CNC, I use GRBL CNC. You will need: Bolt M6x20-25 Washer 8x25-30x6mm And it's essential to modify the handle of longitudinal feed so that it is in a horizontal position when switched off. There is one remark: The progress of longitudinal feed is reduced by 16mm, but this is not critical for me. When you install the motor in the mount, first disassemble the motor completely. For Z-axis, you can also print a bracket for mounting the motor, but I don't have time to model it right now. The motor and gears are installed tightly in their places. No gaps are allowed at all. It's very important to have a good calibrated printer. If something is unclear, please ask questions. Printer Settings Printer: CoreXY Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 30-80 Notes: I printed it in ABS but I think PLA would be just as good. Nozzle 0.4, extrusion 0.5, 1 perimeter. Layer 0.1 If you use a nozzle of 0.2, the printing time will increase significantly. Post-Printing No post-printing is needed. Simply calibrate your printer.
