Lathe Chuck Clamp Sensor Bracket
thingiverse
This bracket secures both chuck clamping sensors directly onto an Okuma Space Turn LB4000 EX CNC Lathe. Since these sensors demand adjustment for parts with varying diameters to confirm whether the chuck is securely attached to a part, I designed this bracket to attach to the lathe in place of one original sensor mounting plate. Once installed, a metal block with a single mounting hole fits snugly within the two upper tabs. The operator effortlessly switches the metal block to either side to inform the machine that the chuck is clamped or unclamped. With the clamped side selected, no further adjustments are required for the machine to run smoothly with parts of any size clamped on the outside diameter. To clamp a part's inside diameter, requiring the unclamped sensor to activate, the operator simply flips the metal block to the corresponding sensor.
