Lateral roller fitting for ball bearings
prusaprinters

This is a fitting for mounting ball bearings laterally on boards (plywood, particle board), i.e. as sideways rollers. It is configurable for various ball bearing sizes with Customizer. Default settings are 16mm board and 608Z ball bearings. Not all combinations will work as intended.

The axle I used was an 8mm aluminum pipe.

You'll need to saw a slot into the side of the board since the design is set to have the axle rest against the edge of the board (less load on the plastic part).

Print Settings

Printer:

TronXY X5S

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Doesn't Matter

Resolution:

0.3mm layer, 0.6mm nozzle

Infill:

15% Honeycomb

Notes:

The printer needs to be able to bridge the slot for the ball bearing.
