Lateral drawers for my Thetford refrigerator in Camper
thingiverse
When I bought my camper, the vendor promised to replace the lateral drawers of the refrigerator. After many weeks, he admitted it was impossible to do so, and I decided to take matters into my own hands by designing and building a new set of drawers using wood and plexiglass. To create each drawer, you'll need to print two lateral components called ...DX and ...SX.stl. Then, you'll need to print the supporting structures that will hold everything together. I designed these drawers to be compatible with multiple versions of this refrigerator model. The most critical component is the lateral groove, which ensures a secure fit. To add flexibility, you can adjust the drawer's size by using thread rods. I used 4mm threads for the main lateral pieces and 3 mm threads to keep the supports in place. Instead of printing the bottom and back panels, I opted to use transparent plexiglass and 4mm wood, respectively. This allows for a more customized look while maintaining the structural integrity of the drawer. The back panel is crucial in keeping the lateral components aligned, which prevents the drawer from disconnecting from the refrigerator door. Feel free to adjust the dimensions of the drawer by cutting the bottom and back panels. This will enable you to adapt the module to different refrigerator models or even other appliances with similar designs.
