Model of a late medieval cannon which has a screw mechanism to help for better aim. These cannons were mainly used during sieges by both the defenders and the attackers. A good cannon could hit the same place on the enemy castles again and again, and at the end making an opening for the soldiers to attack through. These cannons were also used in open battles, often two cannon balls with a chain between were fired and cutting holes in the enemy formations, breaking them up and giving the cavalry perfect conditions....
