Latching broom holder
thingiverse
This remix originates from fallerd's outstanding design for a broomstick with a diameter of 21 millimeters. Initially, my goal was simply to print this at a lower resolution in order to save time, but after re-drawing it and adjusting the tolerances I decided to incorporate several cosmetic modifications. Following an initial successful print at 0.3 millimeters, I ended up printing multiple broomsticks at 0.1 millimeter resolution for aesthetic reasons since PLA was used. Additionally, a central hole was added for attaching the broom holder to the wall because I did not want to make unnecessary perforations in the ceramic tiles covering it. The three nails with diameters of approximately 1.65 millimeters that I had available worked perfectly as hinges and instead of hammering them into the print, I used a drill to allow the friction generated heat to adjust the printed hole diameter. Be aware that you will need to be able to remove at least one nail in order to fix the broom holder onto the wall. Lastly, while V2 is the same height as the original (30 millimeters), I made versions 2s with a height of 24 millimeters in order to shorten print times and I am confident that it will work out fine, even though I haven't printed one yet.
