My idea is simplea clamp latching mechanism butlatching have backlash which in our case is not workingSo my mechanism will work In 3 steps:1- Docking latches were the two clamps will latch over the strong column fromthe other side2- High torque planetary gearbox powered by spring coil will start to rotate ascrew that will pull the two clamp from the other side and close the gabwhich is 1.2 mm and will continue to rotate to apply the force amount whichis needed and can be set easily by rotate the spring coil in curtains amount ofturns .3- Once docking is correct a 3 spring loaded pistons will activate and send 3calibrated shocks directly to the lock direction ¼ second apart and theamount of force can be set easily using a screw and lock nut to pressure thesprings
