Locks have always been a necessity when securing one's home, however a simple yet highly effective lock that I recently found can add a sense of security and functionality to a typical backyard entrance gate - essentially an over the post latch system with adjustable spring pressure to ensure that the lock fits comfortably across a large wooden or metal beam post in one smooth motion.
