A compact latch locks rooms internally, such as bathrooms. Involute gears (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5505) operate the mechanism, with a 2cm traversing bolt. OpenSCAD's script allows for customization of bolt thickness, proving useful since it was destroyed during testing post-photography. The latch requires one 3mm screw for the axis/gear and four 4mm screws to attach it to a door; each part is used only once.
