LASSY-2.0
thingiverse
I prefer being outdoors where I can go hiking or trail running. Most of the time, I'm solo or accompanied by my dog as we make our way. My dog isn't Lassie, so she's unable to run to the nearest police station or anywhere else to report that I've had an accident. How do I get in touch with someone if I've had a bad accident and it's impossible for me to call them on my mobile and explain where I am? That's why I created this device and would like to share it with others. What does the LASSY-2.0 (LifeAssistingSystemSilentYapper) do? The acceleration module (MPU6050) detects when you're moving, jumping or doing flips. If MPU6050 doesn't detect any acceleration, the arduino sends a signal via bluetooth connection (HC-06) to the installed app on your mobile. The app automatically sends an SMS with GPS coordinates to a police station or to my real Lassie. The energy supply is provided by a power bank connected via USB to the LASSY-2.0, making it easy to charge and turn off the device.
