Hello there! Here's a new Lasgun for you. The Lasgun, also known as a Lasrifle, is a directed-energy antipersonnel weapon used by military forces of the Imperium of Man. It's the most common and widely-used type of laser weapon in the galaxy. A Lasgun has a longer range than a Laspistol but isn't nearly as powerful as a Lascannon or the Multi-Laser or Hellgun. While not as powerful as kinetic projectile weapons like the Bolter, its lower production cost, lack of ammunition requirement, and resupply needs make it the best choice for large Imperial Guard forces. The Lasgun uses basic laser technology and operates similarly to other laser weapons, emitting a beam of highly-energetic, focused photons. The high energy carried by these photons causes the target's surface area to vaporize instantly in a small explosion. This weapon is relatively unimpressive compared to many other advanced galaxy technologies but can cleanly sever limbs and potentially pierce Space Marine Power Armour through vulnerable spots. Most Lasgun designs feature iron sights mounted along the top of the weapon. It's powered by a rechargeable power pack located beneath the trigger guard, which can be recharged via sunlight or other methods. These packs can also be overcharged to create an explosive effect, turning the weapon into a makeshift grenade. All textures are created in 4k resolution and can be resized within the engine. Textures have separate UV mapping for added flexibility.
