thingiverse
I fabricated this component to slot snugly onto the 4mm edge of the misumi extruded aluminum angle bracket, which is normally responsible for guiding the drag chain within the lasersaur laser cutter project. Initially, I encountered an issue where the drag chain kept falling off the angled platform and causing a jam between the chain and the edge, resulting in a total halt of laser movement on the x-gantry. To address this problem, I created three rectangular blocks using Rhino software for Mac and then joined them together using boolean union with carefully chosen spacing to ensure an exact fit onto the angle bracket. To securely fasten the component to the angle piece in the laser cutter, you can utilize hot glue or regular wood/metal adhesive.
