LASERFLEX-TERMINAL DEVICE
grabcad
This elbow and cable-driven terminal device features adjustable fingers crafted from 3D printed, laser-cut, or sheet metal materials. It includes a foldaway pinky side car to support drinks, while the elbow motion powers its fingers. The thumb is controlled by cables that can be replaced with zip ties if desired. Tendons made of 3D printed flexible filament can also be substituted with surgical tubing for enhanced flexibility. Personalization options such as laser-etched elements further increase a sense of ownership, drawing inspiration from RIT arm, Flexyhand, Galileo, and Inmoov designs.
