Lasercut Settlers of Catan board as DXF
thingiverse
This reworked text is tailored for laser cutters that necessitate DXF format files. It was transformed using Inkscape's latest version (0.48.4), requiring a few dot adjustments and font conversions into paths. The cutting time through 4mm MDF took approximately 40 minutes. An update on catan03-1.dxf advises against usage without an additional wheat tile; this file features more colored paths while the desert dice value has been removed, as it's not applicable in the game. A warning is given about incorrect tile numbers, requiring that extra wheat tile from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:127087. Color codes for laser cutting include purple for raster engraving potential, green for text possibly needing raster engraving, black for outlines to be cut, blue for circle cuts, and red for tile cuts. Update 2's catan04-1.dxf was removed due to issues. Update 3 offers two fixed files - catan4-2.dxf with resolved software problems, but without test materials for a full set of tiles, and tree04-2-tested.dxf, a newly created tested single tree tile suggested to address the primary issue. Purple: raster engraving potential; Green: possible raster engraving for text; Black: outlines for cutting; Blue: circle cuts; Red: tile cuts.
