I whipped up a solid MDF overhead filament spool rack for my Robo3D printer using Visio. The design fits snugly on the printer's chassis and clips right in place. I picked up a 1/2" PEI rod from my local plastic supply store for $2.50 CDN, which slips tightly into one of the frame holes. The hole with the tick mark is slightly wider, allowing a 1/2" rod to easily pass through it. You can secure the rod using your preferred method, depending on its material. The design is formatted for cutting on a 6mm MDF sheet (or substitute material) measuring 24" x 18". I use an Epilog Helix for all my work. I've included both PDF and SVG files that I converted online at https://cloudconvert.com/vsd-to-svg. These are shared as-is.
