Lasercut Octagon Wall Art

Inspired by the 100 hex project on tecnoloxia's thingiverse, I set out to create a series of octagonal designs that could add visual interest to walls and coffee tables. Moving to my trusted laser cutter, I decided to use octagons as they provided an ideal canvas for testing new ideas with the intervening squares and diamonds. My interests in science, nature, music, travel, geometry, and math all influenced these designs. Unless specified otherwise, blue lines indicate cut lines while red represent etch lines. In some cases, burn and cut patterns are split into multiple files due to issues encountered when running them together in a single file. Each octagon measures 15cm by 15cm. Some of the designs have yet to be cut and are labeled as untested. I will continue adding new designs every couple of days. Enjoy exploring these unique creations!
