Lasercut LED Pendant With Slide Switch
thingiverse
A very simple LED pendant with a slider on it that acts as a basic switch by pressing on the LED legs. We make them as a simple, user-configurable project at the Masterton Fab Lab. To complete the design you need: Cr2032 battery, 5mm bright LED, small piece of sturdy tape, keyring or 700mm of cord. The design is meant to be cut in 4mm clear or translucent acrylic, so scale the slider according to the thickness of your material. Edit the design to include the laser engraved logo of your choice. Your logo may display better if engraved on the reverse. The two outside circular holes accept a waxed cord for use as a necklace. The larger inner hole will accept a split keyring - though this is probably not the best design to put in a pocket or purse! Note: This relies on the battery not being able to seriously over-drive the LED, which is the case with common LEDs and batteries. But it mightn't work properly if you use an ultra-bright LED or a rechargeable battery.
