Here are some simple projects to make on the laser cutter. I worked with 5mm (marketed as 1/8") Luan from Home Depot as the material of choice. To modify it effectively, you will need to change things if using the 3mm birch instead. Making It Happen I relied on Sketch-up 2014 to create a basic model off of a source image I found online. Next, I exported both pieces to PDF before reassembling them in Inkscape for the final SVG creation.
