lasercut house - 28 mm wargaming terrain
thingiverse
A compact two-story dwelling for 28mm wargaming measures 150 x 100 x 135 mm, accurately depicting a typical European house. The upper floors and roof are detachable components that can be removed separately, ensuring effortless assembly. To achieve this design, 3mm thick material is required. I utilized MDF for the structural elements while opting for thin cardboard for the roof tiles. The latter were precision-cut into strips to perfectly align with the horizontal lines on the roof's sides. A minor adjustment around the chimney involves cutting and matching the tiles, but this process is straightforward. The assembly process is remarkably simple, with all components aligning effortlessly via tabs and notches. It is clear what belongs together without any confusion. However, one detail warrants attention: the lower window sill protrudes 1mm beyond the top portion and extends beyond the outside wall. This subtle distinction can be easily overlooked due to its slight difference in size. A 3D file has been included for added clarity, facilitating a seamless understanding of what components go where.
