Lasercut frame for the Affordable Rock Tumbler

Here are some instructions on how to modify an old HP Printer motor with a worm gear into a lasercut frame for the Affordable Rock Tumbler by onkelgeorg from Thingiverse. We're starting now. We had a spare old HP Printer motor with a worm gear lying around, so here's what I did: First, Lasercut the frame. After that, I inserted the bearings and fastened them securely with self-tapping screws. That way they wouldn't fall out over hours of use. Using the original rollers but changing the gears made it work smoothly. Since this was a custom job, I didn't include the gear design in the files. However, there's a great tool on Thingiverse called a Gear Customizer that you can use to find what works best for your project. When it came to laser cutting the frame without mounting holes, it turned out to be easier. I waited until I had built the basic structure and then drilled in the mounting holes using a template like schelle.stl to attach the motor securely.
