Etch solid sections to elevate braille dots above the surface. I highly recommend applying multiple layers of glue to lift the dots higher. A tester observed that changing the texture significantly improved legibility. The fragile nature of the dots will necessitate frequent adjustments to your settings. To enhance visibility for sighted players, consider raising dots on settlements, cities, and roads with glue and painting them in coordinating colors. Players one through four can be identified by the number of dots displayed. For better legibility, I cut my player pieces and hexes from wood slightly thicker than that used for the board. To simplify reading, etched patterns for the hexes are being created. Different fabrics on the blank area may aid in legibility until these designs are ready.
