Lasercut Book Binding Frame

Lasercut Book Binding Frame

thingiverse

This is a laser-cut bookbinding frame I designed specifically for myself. Given my propensity to avoid unnecessary tasks like sanding edges, I decided to apply two quick coats of polyurethane instead, knowing this would seal in the charred edges effectively and prevent any soot from seeping onto the book pages while working. The entire structure is constructed from 1/4-inch plywood, securely glued together with high-quality wood glue. For those who prefer alternative design software, I've included two additional files - an AI file and an EPS file - to facilitate ease of use. The cutting dimensions for this design can accommodate a standard 12x12-inch square piece of plywood. I recently obtained one such piece from Michaels/Hobby Lobby/Jo-Anne Fabrics in order to create this frame.
